Bumborat Police seized liquor

CHITRAL: Bumborat police seized local wine and arrested two persons. According to SHO Bumborat Sub Inspector Hasanullah on the direction of DPO Chitral Ghulam Hussain and SDPO Khalid Khan Bumborat police raided on different places to discourage and stop smuggling of local Wine (Tarra) from Kalash valley to other parts of Chitral. Police recovered 11 bottles wine from the posses of Ali Ahmad Shah son of Taleeman Shah Resident of Awi Booni (upper Chitral) and 3 bottles from Faizur Rehman son of Abdul Wadood resident of Jughor Chitral town. They were going by feet on the bank of Bumborat stream to save from police checking. Bumborat police was informed by informer and arrested two persons by recovering 14 bottles of wine from their posses. Earlier that Hasanullah SHO forfeited Hashish from different persons. Residents of Kalash valley including women folk visited Bumborate police station and appreciated efforts of SHO Bumborate for crack down against drug trafficker and smugglers of wine.
It is worth to mention here that most of Muslim community involved in smuggling of local wine from Bumborat and other Kalash valleys to other parts of Chitral. As local wine is preparing in different small (home) factories at Kalash valley by minority people and people visiting these valleys for drinking and smuggling wine to other parts of Chitral from Kalash valley.
