Rajouri (Jammu), August 31(Scoop News)-Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Non Teaching Association hold Executive body meeting in the University in which great concern has been expressed by all the members on loss being exercised to students followings teachers strike. They have highlighted the achievements of the Vice Chancellor during the last 2 years and have requested teachers to avoid such pressure tactics which damage the career of students.
As per the spokesman of BUNTA, the meeting was held in the University Campus in which all the members have shown serious concern over the loss of students’ community being exercised on part of the strike of teachers.
Speaking on the occasion, all the members have unanimously decided to request the teaching community to shun such pressure tactics which spoil the career of students.
BUNTA members on the occasion highlighted the achievements of the University for the last 2 years and termed the present Vice Chancellor Prof. Irshad A Hamal as visionary who had stabilized the institution on all fronts. Members said that the University was facing acute financial constraints few years ago but now not only J&K government is funding under non plan but UGC has also provided sufficient funds for infrastructure development which is a big achievement for this institution.
Thanking authorities for giving nod to career advancement scheme for the employees, BUNTA members termed the University as employee friendly. They said that financial stabilization is very important for an institution to run and it was only due to this that all employees have received 60 percent of 6th pay commission arrears for which the state employees are striving hard for the last 6 years on roads and streets. “We are thankful to authorities for releasing the arrears before state employee”, they said adding that all employees have mutual responsibility to work for the development of the University which is possible with cooperation of all.
BUNTA has assured full support to the administration in lending a hand in taking forward the developmental activities in future. They said that in no case they want to tarnish the image of that institution which is their livelihood.
A delegation of BUNTA also met Teaching Association President and made him formal appeal to look into the request of the non teaching community for smooth functioning of the University.
Various BUNTA members viz Aftab Mir, Zakir Hussain Malik, Shahbaz Choudhary, Rakesh Sharma, Muzafer Iqbal Malik, Mohammad Shafeeq, Mohammad Shafiq Chouhan, Mohammad Naseer, Zaheer Usmaan, Fareena Kousar, Ashwani Kumar, Shahbaz Ahmed, Mintay Sharma, Rizwan Ahmed, Mohammad Iqbal, Naseeb Mirza, Sajjad Hussain, Khalid Rasool, Brig Mohan, Javed Iqbal, Asif Rashid, Tanveer Raja, Tariq Mehmood Batt and Javed Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed, Manoj Kumar, Manzor Ahmed, were present on the occasion.
