Burial of Francis “Kiko” Magalona

Francis "Kiko" Magalona has finally laid to rest at Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina, past 11 am today(March 11, 2009) His ashes were placed in a metal box. The family, relatives and his Eat Bulaga family were all present at the burial.  Singer-Composer Ogie Alcasid, who happens to be the close friend of Kiko, was also there.  The security was tight, the media people weren’t even allowed to come too close to the tent. The Philippine Army was also present to give military honor to Kiko because of his being patriotic and for his being a member of ROTC unit of AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines). The urn of Francis was taken out from the glass chamber after the short mass so Pia and family could embrace him for the last time. After the military honor, two of Kiko’s children(Arkin and Clara) recited a poem for their dad. Francis, we are all going to miss you. Thanks for all your contributions to the industry and most especially to our country..  Rest in peace, Master Rapper!
