Yet again for the Xth, actions by Burma’s military junta have hit an all-time low. I am using X as the number because it is algebraic. That means that X can be as any number. This is because I have lost count of how many actions that Burma’s junta has taken to warrant much backlash from the international community. But, Burma’s junta still remains unfazed and defiant towards the international backlash.
Ultimately, Burma’s junta is not the one hurting. The ones hurting are the millions of cyclone victims that need food, shelter, and medicine. Burma’s junta has been criticized for it’s handing of the international aid received.
Burma’s junta has said that victims in the hardest hit areas can fend for themselves. Also, the junta has campaigned to eject the victims from the aid shelters and dump them back into their devastated villages.
Now, the junta is accused of forcing the survivors of Cyclone Nargis to do menial labor. If they do not do the labor, they will not be given food. This is according to what Amnesty International has recently reported. It also accuses the junta of diverting aid from those living in the hardest hit areas.
Recently, four US Naval ships have left. They have constantly been denied access to the country by Burma’s junta.
Again, the junta never ceases to sink lower.
