Nepotism in Abdul Wali Khan By pass road lamented.

CHITRAL; Affected of Bypass road lamented nepotism of C & W department. Former MNA Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali said to local journalist that C &W department wrongly drawn map of bypass road having so many turns which is more dangerous than a straight road. He said that by pass road means a separate and alternate route to minimize traffic rush on main road but they demolishing hundred of shops near polo ground and Museum gate to save only one shop of a influential person and main bypass road was turned at this point. He said that it should be straight and separate road not to be extended the existing road by demolishing hundred of shops. Abdul Nasir president human rights Chitral said that C&W consultant at Peshawar admitted that the present road is not according to their design and C&W staff turned it at their own interest. Haji Usman Gul said that served in a foreign country for years to get some money and I constructed 18 shops but C&W department demolishing my shops illegally by dragging by pass road inside of my shops instead of a separate road. Another shopkeeper Nasir Khan said that consultant had already marked during their survey/designing at shop of an influential person but C &W staff saving that shop being an influential person and demolishing hundred of other shops as a result a large number of shopkeepers would be deprived from their livelihood. They appeal to Chief Minister KPK Parvez Khattak for conducting an inquiry in this connection to probe actual and real position of bypass road. They also appeal that like other parts of the country by pass road means a separate road and at Chitral there should be separate road not to extend the present road. They alleged that Communication and Works (C&W) department extending the present road to save money for their pocket. As a result hundred of shopkeepers would be come on roads if they were jobless. It is worth to mention here that By pass road was inaugurated by then chief minister of KPK Amir Haider Khan Hoti it should to be complete until December 2012 but it fund was lapsed due to negligence and apathy of C &W department as a result it was unnecessarily delayed and people of the area facing great problems due to dust and broken road. As well as it design was also changed by local staff by obliging some near and dears and damaging helpless one.In this connection when this scribe contacted Riaz XEN and Maqbool Azam SDO to know their version they apologized to talk to media on this issue.
