Consumer faced getting their salary from Banks.
CHITRAL: Due to bank holidays on 31st December and gazette holiday on Sunday the banks remained closed two days on first day of New Year 2011. As a result a large number of people who are getting their monthly salary, remuneration and pension faced great problems. There was a long queue of customers and employees in front of Habib Bank and National Bank Main Branch Chitral. Some people complained that they faced great problems and the bank authority should to arrange alternate measurements and possible solution of this problem so as to save the people from waiting for long time in front of banks.

CHITRAL: Abdul Wali Khan By Pass road is under construction. The district administration has diverted traffic through Danin and Jughor side but a large number of people crossing main road by feet. Excavator machines are busy in excavating of mountains and rocks and putting heavy stones in the middle of road at night time but they not working at day time. A large number of people including women and children and ailing persons crossing this risky and dangerous road by feet. Social and political circle of Chitral have demanded for working day and nights on by pass road otherwise the concern contractor should to remove stones from the middle of main road situated on the bank of Chitral river because if they not working at day time then road should to be open for vehicular traffic.
Step mother behavior with Chitral passengers lamented.
CHITRAL: Chitrali passengers coming from Peshawar to Chitral in flying coaches they setting at Peshawar at 6.00 PM and passengers are instructing to have a night stay at Dargay or Dir upper. Because Lawari tunnel is opening for vehicular traffic from Dir side at 2.00 PM. These passengers waiting for more than 14 hours for opening of Lawari tunnel to cross it. Thus these poor passengers face to travel for 21 hours from Peshawar to Chitral. They also facing great problems in dirty hotels as well as staying inside these vehicles during this chilly cold weather where temperature is below freezing point. Shafiq Ahmad Advocate and Saifuddin a local social worker have appeal to transport authority and district administration at Peshawar to bound these transporters to not travel during night time and to save Chitral passengers from numerous difficulties. They should to travel early in the morning and to cross Lawari tunnel at afternoon.

CHEETA Organized Peace Dialogue & Cultural Show at for flood affected of Ochusht.
CHITRAL: In order to mitigate suffering of flood affected people of Uchusht Chitral a cultural show and peace dialogue held at village Uchusht Chitral. After torrential rain and devastating flood entire population of Uchusht were in trauma and there was dire need of peace dialogue and playful activity for rehabilitation and bringing people of the area to normal life. In this connection Chitral Health Environmental Triad Association (CHEETA) organized and peace dialogue and cultural Show at village Uchusht Chitral. It was supported and financed by Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) Peshawar and facilitated by Chitral Development Network (CDN). Known musical group of Chitral participated in the program while Assistant Coordination Officer (ACO) Chitral Miftahuddin was chief guest of the Occasion. Dr. Shujauddin, Dr. Yehya, Professor Muhammad Dost President CHEETA, Social worker Fazlu Rahman Shahid and Ansar Illahi along with others members participated in the program. Villagers in large numbers also participated in the cultural show and peace dialogue. A large number of people like social workers, affected villagers and activists participated in the event. ACO Chitral termed the program a positive step towards promotion of peace and softening mental trauma of flood affected people in district Chitral. All the participants appreciated SPO Peshawar and CDN for facilitating and financing the activity. Professor Muhammad Dost President CHEETA appraise of the participants about aim and objectives of the program, and all participants also applause CHEETA for planning and implementation of the cultural show and its proactive role in social as well as developmental activities in district Chitral. Participants proposed that such activities should be arranged frequently for promotion of peaceful and enlightened and soft society in the area. Main objective of the event was enhancement of mutual harmony and normalizing flood affected people who still live under great tension and passing under psycho trouble.
