Jammu, January 14 (Scoop News) – The Cabinet which met here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah approved creation of 55 posts in the Public Works (R&B) Departments and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Departments for newly created eight districts viz Kishtwar, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Kulgam, Shopian, Samba, Reasi and Ramban.
It also approved appointment of five officers of the Excise and Taxation Gazetted Service to the time scale of KAS (15600-39100) with grade pay of Rs. 6600 with immediate effect. These include Mansoor Aslam Chowdhary (ST), Pawan Kumar ( RBA) Bharat Singh (RBA), Shyam Sunder Gupta and appointment of Abdul Hafiz Shah( RBA) from the Jammu and Kashmir Social Welfare (Gazetted Service) to the time scale of KAS w.e.f 17.11.2009.
The Cabinet approved purchase of two Suction Cutter Dredgers by the Chief Engineer Irrigation Flood Control, Kashmir from M/S Ellicot Dredgers Ltd., USA on single tender basis for the purchase of carrying out Dredging operation in river Jehlum with the direction that the Irrigation and Flood Department must ensure that full prudence is observed in judging suitability of rates and ensuring value for money in the purchase.
It also approved amendment to Jammu and Kashmir Tourist Trade Act-1978. It also approved transfer of Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Srinagar / Jammu by the Academy of Art, Culture and Languages to the respective University in Kashmir and Jammu. It also approved inclusion of 37 villages in the list of backward classes and Sheer Gojries in Social Caste.
It also approved transfer of State Land measuring 1501 kanals and 05 marlas situated in villages Kurhama, Tulmulla and Zarigund of district Ganderbal in favour of J&K Higher Education Department for construction/ establishment of Central University Kashmir.
It also approved promotion of three IAS officers to the super time scale of IAS in the grade of Rs. 37400- 67400 plus grade pay of Rs. 10,000 w.e.f 27.10.2010. These include Dr Sayed Mohammad Fazal-ul-Ullah, A.K.Raina (on proformas basis) and B. A.Runiyal. The cabinet also approved selection grade IAS (Rs 37400-67000+ grade pay of Rs 8700 with effect from 01-01-2011 in favour of Vinod Koul on proformas basis), Guldev Raj Bhagat, Gazanfer Hussain, Ghulam Hassan Tantray and senior scale of IAS in favour of Mrs. Yasha Mudgal with effect from 01-01-2011.
In another decision, cabinet approved promotion of four officers to the Special Scale of KAS with effect from 01-01-2011. They include Ravinder Kumar Pandita, Zubair Ahmad, Khadim Hussain and Nazir Ahmad Shah. The cabinet also approved the proposal for sub regional and master plan for Bhadarwah.
