Police investigators pursuing the manhunt for the suspected killers of the 10 bank employees in Cabuyao, Laguna, Philippines, should conduct their investigation intelligently.
Why? Because I have the suspicion that the suspects were professional killers who may have good training in the police or the military. They way they did their crime is a manifestation that they were not greenhorn killers. There is a saying that "A dead man tells notales." This is what they did so that nobody could serve as a witness to their crime.
Now, arresting any suspects in the crime could jeopardize the police intentions of pinning down the real suspects. From the way they executed their crime, some people believed that they knew something about how to get away with crime. Rather than just take away the bank loot, they managed to kill all of them so that nobody can tell what happened nor identify the suspects who may have been known to the victims.
The only worry now is that the suspects might commit another crime in order to murky up the investigation. Under Philippine laws, nobody can be charged if he is already facing criminal charges in court. In legal parlance, they call it "double jeopardy." There is a strong possibility that the suspects might think of misleading the authorities by engaging in another gruesome crime. Should this happen, the police would have difficultypinning down the real suspects for the Cabuyao killings.
Next time they catch some suspects who perpetrated another crime, make sure that these suspects were not the same criminals who were involved in the Cabuyao murders. Otherwise, it would be a futile attempt on the part of the police to catch the real killers. May the Divine Hand lead the police to the heartless murderers.
