California College San Diego announced today the opening of its new location in National City. The new satellite campus will offer students the chance to pursue their bachelor’s, associate’s, or occupational associate’s degree. Students will be able to enroll in a variety of degree programs, including but not limited to medical specialties, computer technology and networking, computer programming, and business management.
“Approximately half of our current student body commutes from South Bay, so this new satellite location makes finishing their degree and taking the next step toward a better career even more convenient,” said Ken Webb, campus director at California College. “The space is brand new and very accessible via public transportation. We chose the location very carefully, so it could provide the maximum benefit to our students.”
California College San Diego will occupy approximately 5,700 square feet of the new building. Among the amenities are six new classrooms, a medical lab, a computer lab, a Learning Resource Center, and a break area for students. The addition of another medical lab will mean that more students can participate in hands-on learning as they prepare for careers in healthcare.
Currently California College San Diego has 1,386 students enrolled in its degree programs.
