Jammu, October 07 (Scoop News) – Jammu & Kashmir Nationa Panthers Party (JKNPP) has given call for Jammu Bandh on Octobor 8, Friday against CM’s speech.
In a statement issued to press today said that Prof. Bhim Singh and the Legislators of JKNPP has made a strong appeal to the people of Jammu region to observe a Bandh demanding immediate withdrawal of the anti-national, anti-India and communally provocative speech that J&K Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah made in the Legislative Assembly yesterday, describing accession by Maharaja Hari Singh in 1947 as a conditional agreement thus violating the oath of the allegiance for the Constitution of India that the Chief Minister had taken.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that Omar Abdullah has literally come out with his hidden agenda as a spokesman of Ali Shah Geelani demanding tripartite talks on the so-called issue of Jammu and Kashmir without spelling out the issue and the purpose of talks. Prof. Bhim Singh said that Omar Abdullah has come out openly in support of the Dixon Plan to carve out Districts of Poonch and Doda from Jammu province which in fact was proposed by Justice Owen Dixon in 1951 and that was the reason that Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru dismissed Sheikh Abdullah and sent him to jail for demanding implementation of Dixon Plan in J&K. He said that it has been established that entire unrest in Kashmir Valley was sponsored by the Chief Minister to browbeat Delhi. His speech in the Assembly yesterday that J&K Accession did not amount to merger forgetting that the Constituent Assembly of J&K had ratified the Accession which was later gratified by the Constitution of J&K in 1957. It was repeatedly ratified by the elected representative of J&K which was admitted by Sir Zaffarullah Khan, representative of Pakistan in the International Court of Justice. Even the United Nations in its Resolution dated 13.08.1948 had directed Pakistan to withdraw all its armies from entire areas of POK including Gilgit.
Prof. Bhim Singh has urged Governor of J&K to dismiss Omar Abdullah as it was done in case of Sheikh Abdullah in 1953 for making highly provocative, ISI-sponsored speech that intends to threaten the national security. He said that Omar Abdullah has become a security threat and must go without delay.
Prof. Bhim Singh appealed to the people of the entire State to observe strike and bandh on 8th October, 2010. Prof. Bhim Singh also appealed to all nationalists, patriotic and democratic parties to jointly demonstrate their strength to teach a lesson to the teething Chief Minister.
