This is a time when you will use more film than at any other period during the year. It won’t be possible to re-shoot if things go wrong, so preparation is important.
B) Buy spare batteries for your flash unit. An extra battery for the meter in your camera is also a good idea.
C) Pack your tripped, filters, lens cleaning brush and camera instructions. Also small notebook to record what you photograph- very useful when it comes to naming the prints for the family album.
D) Check that camera is covered by the family’s holiday insurance policy.
E) If traveling by air, the use of x rays for security checks fog film, especially if it goes through several checks. Carry film in a clear plastic bag and ask the security officer to inspect the film manually.
- Close the camera and quickly re-wind the film. The strip of film exposed to the light we will be fogged, but the rest of the film should be intact.
- Camera shakes. Use 1/60th second of faster when hand –held and press the shutter release gently.
