Can Technology Replace Teachers?
Today, we can’t imagine our lives without the technology that has influenced all spheres of our lives, including education. Some people even think that advances in technology make us lazy and prefer to rely on them too much instead of trying to solve our problems on our own. For example, students who struggle with writing their endless essays and research papers can get out of a messy situation if they order model papers online on a professional writing service like https://essayhelper4you.com. But this opinion about technology advances is not true.
On the contrary, technology advances require continuous learning. They just require a different set of knowledge that we possessed before new technologies have become available. And due to the fact that technology is constantly advancing, we need continuing education to be able to leverage those advances in our everyday life and work.
Education hasn’t remained untouched and gained immensely from the integration of innovative technology. But if the technology is constantly evolving, can it someday replace teachers? The answer is obvious. It’s very unlikely. In fact, the influx of technology into the classroom means that there is a need for teachers.
We need teachers who are able to figure out not just how new technology works but how it works for every student in his class and where the use of technology is most appropriate. The future of school education is personalized tech-infused learning.
While technology can’t replace teachers, it can be used effectively to improve the learning process. Smart classes, e-learning courses, educational apps, e-books, videos, online tutorials are powerful resources that can have a positive impact on the entire educational system.
Educational technologies are developing quickly and classrooms are changing and they will look different in 10 years than they do today so the teacher’s toolbox will include more learning tools. That means that in the future, teachers will have more time for other important responsibilities that include managing social interactions with students, leveraging their expertise as a respected authority in a certain subject, and acting as a motivating influence.
Teacher’s role in the classroom is huge. A teacher is a leader, guide, facilitator, and mentor. Teachers encourage students when they struggle with their studies. They inspire their students to set goals and reach for them. Moreover, teachers are role models because they lead students by their own example, and give the right directions when it is necessary. Of course, computers can give students any information they need but teachers can give them a helping hand that is necessary for students to succeed and motivate them to succeed in studies.
So technology will play a critical role in the future of education but this role is not as big as a role of a teacher. Besides, everyone will benefit from the right mix of technology and teachers who will use technology as part of an expanding toolkit. Classrooms will continue to change but we can be completely sure that there will be a human teacher for a long time yet.
That’s a great technology, but there’s something that only teacher can do.
Thanks for your post!
I am so glad that reading your article.love it.
If you have children, it is obvious to you that the teacher is not just a source of information. This is a person who will give life advice, help choose a career, protect the one with whom peers are ill-treated. And in the end, try to imagine a class trip to the theater under the leadership of the robot. In other words, the teacher, or more precisely, the Teacher, is the guiding star, moral guide, mentor, intercessor and elder friend for the younger generation. If we combine all these hypotheses together, it becomes obvious that rather technologies will replace doctors, psychoanalysts and politicians than representatives of a respected pedagogical profession.
