PESHAWAR, March 12 :- The NWFP Minister for Health Syed Zahir Ali Shah has assured that
Peshawar Institute for Cardiology would be completed with in
stipulated period .This is my Mission No.1, and no delay tactic would
be tolerated in this regard, he added.
This, he said, while addressing a function arranged by an
organization “Friends of Heart” in the auditorium of LRH Peshawar
today. President of Friends of Heart Professor Dr. Hafizullah,
Secretary Professor Dr. Riaz Anwar Khan and Chief Executive of LRH Dr.
Abdul Hameed Afridi were also present on the occasion. Earlier the
provincial Minister for health has inaugurated Learning Resource
Center, Eco Cardio Graphy and new I.C.U of Cardiology Department which
were established with financial Cooperation of Friends of Hearts in
LRH, Peshawar.
The Provincial Minster for health Syed Zahir Ali Shah while terming
the present health facilities inadequate for the people of the
province has determined to establish more Mega Health Institute in the
province which would be able to provide each and every modern and
latest treatment facilities to the people of the NWFP. This
institution would be an exemplary in its nature, he added. He said
that construction of Children, Burn and Benazir Hospital were the
efforts of the present Govt: in this regard.
Syed Zahir Ali Shah further said that beside all this efforts mere
Govt: would not be able to provide all these basic health facilities
to the masses. He has appealed to the Philanthropists and public
sector to come forward and contribute in this noble cause and help the
ailing people. The provincial Minister has assured that Friends of
Heart Organization of his Cooperation and every financial assistance
so that they could be able to deliver more in a better manner.
Earlier Secretary of Friends of Heart Professor Riaz Anwar briefed
the provincial Minister about the aims and objectives of the
organization and services they done for ailing people so for.
