The Republican National Committee (RNC) and presumed GOP nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona have been fully prepared to accept and acknowledge Senator Barack Obama of Illinois as the Democratic nominee. Still, Obama is a co-frontrunner in the Democratic race. Recently, co-frontrunner Senator Hillary Clinton of New York had a slight “change” of heart.
Earlier today, Clinton said that she will not concede even if Obama gets enough delegates fro the Democratic nomination. Then, Clinton said that she would be open to being Obama’s VP running-mate.
Recently, the RNC had launched a video of Clinton criticizing Obama. While she attacked Obama, Clinton had praised McCain. Recently, McCain had praised Clinton for her efforts and attacked Obama. The video of Clinton criticizing Obama is available to watch on YouTube.
But, it is not the only video that the RNC has launched.
They have also pointed out another video that is also available on YouTube. This one was a two-year old video of former US President Jimmy Carter criticizing Obama. This was with an interview on Charlie Rose on his PBS show.
The blog entry was posted on CNN’s political ticker at 4:25 PM ET by CNN Associate Political Editor Rebecca Sinderbrand.
Carter has been on the receiving end of backlash back in the US for agreeing to meet with the militant Palestinian group known as Hamas. At the Hay Festival in Wales, Carter urged the EU to lift sanctions on Gaza.
Interestingly enough as the blog entry was posted; CNN Senior Political Correspondent Candy Crowley posted another blog entry five minutes later. The entry is dated at 4:30 PM ET.
As the RNC pointed out the two year old interview of Carter criticizing Obama, Carter himself has recently announced that he will endorse Obama’s candidacy. In the past, Carter criticized Obama. Recently, Carter has praised Obama.
The RNC is already firing tons of ammo at Obama.
