Casey Anthony’s text messages were included in nearly 600 pages of documents of evidence against released yesterday by Florida’s Sate Attorney’s office regarding her missing daughter, Caylee Anthony. Casey Anthony is a person of interest in the disappearance of 2-year-old Caylee.
The text messages and documents show suspicious behavior by Casey Anthony on the days immediately before July 15 when Casey reported Caylee missing. Text messages between Anthony’s friend Amy Huizenga and another friend talk about recent changes in Casey: "Dude, don’t lie or lose your kid and pretend it didn’t happen. I have a lot in common with her too. We were really close for months. She fooled us all. You aren’t crazy, she is."
Text messages that Anthony herself sent talk more about partying and socializing than the life of a mother. Anthony said that being a mother got in the way of her social life.
Some of the other documents include testimony from Casey Anthony’s friends and family. Her boyfriend, Anthony Lazzaro, said that she Casey Anthony would wake up in the middle of the night with cold sweats around July 15, claiming she was having nightmares.
Multiple witnesses said that Casey Anthony’s car had a foul smell coming from it in the days before she abandoned it. Anthony claimed that there was a dead animal inside the engine but nobody ever investigated the vehicle to find out. A friends said she was with Anthony at the time the vehicle was towed and she saw Caylee’s doll in the back seat. This surprised her because "Caylee never leaves without her baby doll."
Others say in the documents that Casey was having troubles with her mother, Cindy, which they say were at least partially on Cindy and Caylee’s good relationship.
