CEC,Leh inaugurating Block office of Sheep Husbandry Department

Leh, November 28,(Scoop News)- Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Rigzin Spalbar while highlighting the importance of land based economy, Spalbar once again retaliated the vision of Council to lead Leh district in the direction of sustainable development which can be achieved only through agriculture and allied sectors for which LAHDC, Leh has formulated Ladakh Vision Document 2025 in June 2005 and to implement upon it Ladakh Prospective Plan was prepared in 2010.
While inaugurating the Block office of Sheep Husbandry Department at Chushot. Constructed under NABARD at a cost of Rs. 23.89 lacs, Spalbar said that completion of Sheep Block Office in Chushot block is one of the important step towards Ladakh Vision and hoped that decentralization of vital department like Sheep Husbandry Department in focused blocks of Leh district will prove very beneficial for villages were potential of livestock rearing is high.

On the occasion, Executive Councilor for Sheep & Animal Husbandry Gyurmet Drojey, Councilor Chushot Gh. Abass Abidi, DSHO, Leh Dr. Mohd Sharif and all the Nambarders and Sarpanches of villages under Chushot block were present.
Congratulating the people of Chushot Block, CEC Rigzin Spalbar appreciated concerned executing agency, area councillor, public representatives and Sheep Husbandry Department for completing the block office Chushot in record time by maintaining the quality and local architecture of the building.
Taking the opportunity of good attendance of Sarpanches, CEC Rigzin Spalbar urged upon the Sarpanches and Panches of Leh district to study Ladakh Vision Document 2025 so that they could understand the Vision Document fully and go accordingly for development of their respective Panchyat halqas.
Speaking on the occasion, Executive Councilor for Sheep & Animal Gyurment Drojey said that with the functioning of Block Office of Sheep Dept. in Chushot block, the schemes and medicare facilities of Sheep Department will improve in days to come and urged upon the farmers of Chushot belt to increase their Sheep/Goat population from 7000 to 15,000 in years to come.
The area Councilor Gh. Abass Abadi speaking on the occasion congratulated the people of Chushot block for having new office building of the Sheep department at Chushot and hoped that farmers of Chushot belt will be benefited.
Earlier, DSHO, Dr. Mohd Sharif also spoke on the occasion.
