NOLOURA (PATTAN)/Srinagar,October 25 (Scoop News) – Saying that J&K has a pride to be constituent of Indian Union, Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir Tuesday said that the liberal funding from the Centre has changed the destiny of the people of the State with regard to infrastructure development, education, health etc.
The Minister was addressing a public meeting here this afternoon. He said that by providing continuous liberal funding from the Centre, that there is a precedence on the ground that these funds are not be utilized within the targeted period fixed in the concerned schemes which causes very much inconvenience to the general masses. He said this would also delayed our ambitious projects for its completion and the benefits of these schemes we should be reached to the people at the earliest get delayed.
Mir called upon the administration to work with more dedication and sincerity on the ground for implementing the policies and programmes of the government in letter and spirit which would relief the common masses at the earliest. He said the political dispensation of the present government is working very hard to approve more and more ambitious project for the state under centrally sponsored schemes and adding that without the active participation of the administration and people, the cherished dream could not be realized.
Referring the enormous potential of the youth of state, the Minister stressed upon them to acquaint themselves with quality education to compete at national and international level. He said education is pivotal for socio-economic development for the people and said that government’s first priority is to provide better education facilities to our younger generation.
Asking the youth to participate in national building activities, Mir said that the state has enormous potential natural resources and it is our duty to tape the unexplored potential in positively to make J&K self reliant state. He said the participation of youth in developmental activities is necessary for making J&K a self reliant state. He said that the coalition government has various projects in pipeline to tape the potential of natural resources for strengthen the economy of the state.
Referring the demands of the people, the Minister assured the gathering that he will soon convene a meeting of district administration to fulfill their genuine demands with regard to strengthening of distribution of PDD, PHE and upgradation of roads. He assured them that the Middle School of the village would be upgraded to High School very soon.
To tape the agriculture, horticulture potential of Karewa’s of the area, the Minister asked the farming community to take the benefit of bore well schemes under which the government is providing Rs. 2 lakh subsidy for its construction. He said this would help to cover more and more Karewa’s under agriculture and horticulture activities.
