Patient welfare Society Booni arranged Culture show for charity collection.
CHITRAL: Patient Welfare Society (PWS) Booni arranged a musical concert and culture show to collect charity for needy and deserving patient. President of PWS Shah Nazir and General Secretary Mir Sawat welcome the distinguished and said that this is a non profitable, non political and non-government organization which work for welfare of poor and needy patients of the area. They said that this society is running by the membership fee of volunteer group and donation from the philanthropists. For this purpose the society organize different activities in order to create awareness among the masses as well as to motivate and enhance volunteerism among the young generation. They said that PWS assisted 550 patients providing them free medicines etc and some 750202 have been paid to deserving and poor patients. They said that they have donated 401 bags of blood to helpless patients. In this connection a culture show was held in Govt. High School Booni hall as an evening dedicated to poor patients under the chair of former UC Nazim and scholar Sardar Hussain. Sehat Hussain of Gilgit announced rupees 50000 donation for PWS similarly other participants also put their share from 1000 to 2000 per head for benefit and free treatment of deserving patients. Local artists and singers enthralled the audiences and viewers by different item. Local artists performed stage drama, joking, fine arts, songs and youth of the area presented folk dance on beating of drum. The musical concert was continue to late night and people hailed the local artists. Talking to this scribe local artists said that they not getting any remuneration of their art and present their skill for welfare of poor patients on volunteer basis. Ansar Elahi, Javed Ahmad, Munawar Shah Rangeen, Afsar Ali, Subadar Muhammad Khan, Jalal and other participated in culture show and stage drama. A large number of people belonging to all walks of life participated in the patient welfare society culture show.
