Charming Bangalore.
Bangalore is also called the garden city of India. It is probably one of India’s most green city. It is the capital city of Karnataka and draws a lot of tourists from India and abroad.
Lalbagh, the famous botanical garden is the heart of Bangalore’s attractions. The garden was commissioned by Hyder Ali in 1760. More than 1000 species of flowers and plants adorn the 240 acre garden. The towers of the garden were made by the founder of Bangalore, called Kempe Gowda 1. Two annual flower shows are held in the garden, every year. There is a brilliant Sheesh Mahal in the Park. There is an artificial cliff created in the garden from where the entire city of Bangalore is visible. There is a brilliant HMT clock created at the entrance which is run by solar energy.
Tipu Sultan’s summer palace is the historical attraction of the place. It was built in 1791, and located near KR Market. The palace consists of beautiful wooden two-storeyed ornate structure with exquisitely curved pillars, arches and balconies. The structure shows features of Tipu Sultan Hyder Ali’s regime. The Bangalore Palace has resemblance of Windsor Castle in England.
The Vidhan Soudha or the Assembly House is a mixture of Rajasthani Jharokha and Dravidian style of architecture. It was planned by Kengal Hanumanthiah and built by Chief Engineer B.R. Manickam. The Vishwesharaya Industrial and Technological museum is a sensational museum. The ground floor has artificial structures showing the history of flight engines, pulley, wheel and other technological inventions. The history had been depicted in a brilliant way. The bull temple and the iskon temple are the other brilliant religious structures. The MG road is one of the most commercially viable streets of the city.
Bangalore is also famous for the silk emporium. Silk sarees called mysore silk, and incense sticks made of sandalwood and other products are sold at authentic prices. November, December are the best seasons of Bangalore. The two major railway stations namely Bangalore station and Yeshwantpur Station are very clean and prominent. The hotels near Bangalore station like Pavana Hotel are very luxurious. It is connected very well with other cities of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Tourists should visit Bangalore, probably the best city of South India.
