CHITRAL: Government Primary School Chikar at Broghul valley near Pak
Tajikistan border has been closed from1st March due to no teaching
staff in the school. According to detail government Primary school
Chikar is situated in the extreme north of Chitral near Wakhan Strip
(Tajikistan border). Talking to this scribe di Executive District
Officer school and literacy Miss Gulsambar said that there is no
teaching staff in the school and Chitral facing acute shortage of
staff that is why the school was closed. As main road to the far away
valley has been closed due to heavy snowfall and land sliding since
November 2009. and non local staff facing great hardships due to no
charming for them. That is why they reluctant and avoiding to perform
their duty at this remote and non accessible valley. Due to no local
staff some outsiders were accommodated there but after completion of
their tenure they were relieved and now there is no staff in this
school where there is Co education system due to no separate school
for girls. The schools were opened at Chitral after winter vacation
(Dec to Feb) and all educational institutions were opened in first
week of March this year hence the school remained closed due to no
staff there. President Legal Aid Forum for Human Rights Abdul Nasir
have appeal to high ups of education department for posting and
fulfillment of vacant posts of teachers in Government Primary School
Chikar and other educational institutions of Chitral so as to avoid
from wasting precious time of students.
