Barbara’s Poetry From The Heart Corner
A soaring eagle, symbol of strength and pride,
compares to humans searching worldwide.
Soldier’s carry the weight of the globe around,
tries to bring peace in countries and in towns.
Their wounds are not displayed…hid deep inside,
hunts for inner peace to heal wounds that abide.
I’ve felt the spirits they’ve carried everywhere,
this kid cried for soldiers fighting here and there.
Youths search for security and loving arms,
someone to whisper, “Children don’t be alarmed.”
They’re soldiers too with burdens to endure,
searches for contentment on land and everywhere.
Children and soldiers are related in some ways;
they both require love and heaps of heroic praise.
Soldiers carry heaviness of war’s and loads of stress,
kids are under peer pressure and utter duress.
Both share examples of loyalty and dedication,
tries to achieve respect and a pledge to their nation.
Soaring eagles fly display strength and pride,
symbols of American soldiers who fight and who die.
Representation of a country that’s proud and genuine,
with determinations to remain as long as there’s time.
Soaring eagles fly, proud and with lots of pride,
as children and soldiers roam around worldwide.
