Appreciating the presentation of this special show by the displaced children, Abdul Rahim Rather stated that affection these Kashmiri children with their mother land has brought him to tears. He said he has not seen such a sizzling and mind-blowing performance in his whole life and was highly impressed by the artistic skills and agony expressed by these young to pay tribute to their motherland “
He hinted that government will come out with a special incentives in the forthcoming Budget for Kashmiri Pandit who are in exile as they are undergoing a lot of hardships and problems.
He, lauded the efforts of the Academy in promotion and preservation of the art, culture and languages of the state . He said such efforts will go a long way in keeping cultural richness and diversity of the state alive.
The Minister also announced a cash prize of Rs.2:00 Lacs for the performing artists as a token love and encouragement.
Today’s programme which was witnessed by a full house, saw the audience applauding the young displaced artists who presented the compositions based on the poetry of Lalla Dyed, Mehjoor, Dina Nath Nadim, Abdul Ahad Azad and Moti Lal Saqi. The lilting musical compositions were composed by Krishan Langoo.
