Olympics 2008 was one of the greatest event in both World’s and China’s history. I say World history because, there was nothing more grander event/Olympics in ever in history of mandkind.And for China,it was a display of its economic and sports power in whole world.
China, one of the biggest economies in world, spending tens of billion dollars just for Olympics showcased that its next super power.It was just the display to show that Asian countries are as powerfull and rich as West.China has show everyone in its own style.
Considering the fact, China won 51 Gold,21 Silver, 28 Bronze medals is ahead of USA winning 36 Gold, 38 Silver, 36 Bronze. Its way ahead of USA in terms of Gold medals. This has given setback to USA’s domination in sports.
Finally, the official Olympic Song "We are ready, One World One Dream, Light the Passion Share the Dream, Forever Friends,…"
might also give some hint, that China is the next super-power.
Really, China is having its way.
