Chinese submarine Type_094_SSBN – armed with SLBM’s capable of obliterating population centers are reported within nuclear strike range of Alaska and Hawaii.
RT (Russia Today) news is reporting the Chinese Navy is preparing to deploy nuclear armed submarines armed that will patrol the northern Pacific Ocean and come within range of at least two US states -Hawaii and Alaska.
If confirmed these kind of reports scare the hell out of me, because it means these same subs can launch nuclear weapons in either state capitols. Were talking hundreds of thousands of people could be killed with minutes of a launch.

According to the report the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) has tapped the Jin-class nuclear ballistic submarines have already began active patrolling in the Pacific ocean region.
The subs will carry sea launched intercontinental range missiles , capable of carrying multiple warheads that are thought to have an extended range of over 14,000 kilometers (8,699 miles) .

The new Jin-class Type 094 submarines are a significant upgrade of capabilities when compared to the Type 092 class that the PLAN has traditionally relied upon.
Weighing 11,000 tons , the Chinese Navy sees this development as proof that they are “ more on par with Western countries.”
The Type 094 (NATO reporting name: Jin-class; Chinese: 晋级潜艇) is a class of ballistic missile submarine developed by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy. The first-of-class was constructed at Huludao Shipyard in Huludao, Liaoningand launched in July 2004.
Five submarines are believed to have been constructed. Armament includes Torpedoes, at least 6-9 533 mm (21 in. , bow tubes Missiles 12-14 JL-2 SLBM… at least 3 are thought to be deployed at this current time.
