Chitral once again in grip of sever cold.

CHITRAL; Chitral is once again in grip of sever cold weather. As temperature recorded on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday -10.1 ( Minus 10. 1). Snowfall once again started on Wednesday as a result there is no vehicular traffic on roads while local market was also remained close because the inhabitants of the area are busy to remove snow from the roofs of their houses so as to save them from collapse. There is acute shortage of edible things in local market as well as Gas cylinder also not available here. Besides it main transmission lines of electricity have been broken at the top of Lawari pass due to heavy snowfall as a result the whole districts have been plunged into dark since long. Traffic at morning time is very risky and dangerous due to freezing of snow and water on the roads and fearing of accident because of slippery of vehicles. As the district government having no sufficient machineries to remove snow from the roads and to open it for vehicular traffic. Due to continue snowfall and sever cold life have been paralyzed in Chitral. Besides it PIA flights also suspended because  of bad weather. There is no land route connecting Chitral to other sort of the country after closing of Afghan road via Kunar on Tuesday. As a result Chitral have been isolated having no link to other parts of the country nor through land neither by air. Niaz Ali Shah General Secretary of Legal Aid Forum for Human Rights Chitral have appealed to the Federal as well as Provincial government for opening of Afghan road for Chitrali commuters and supply of Gas cylinders on subsidies rates so as to save the life.
