Chitral’s Rich and Colourful Culture

Chitral presents a rich and colourful culture coupled with the friendliness and hospitality of the people. In Chitral, there are a number of festivals around the year from both Khow and Kalash communities. During the local festivals, folk songs, folk dances, traditional sports such as polo, tug of war, wrestling and other traditional sports are performed. These cultural events have attracted considerable number of visitors who highly appreciate these festivals. Kalash communities celebrate four festivals around the year, which have too become popular amongst the visitors.
