Christmas celebration and preparation

Christmas is a festival celebrated by the Christians. On this day the Jesus Christ was born. It is celebrated on 25th December every year.  It is a cultural event followed by the Christians. The Christmas is around the corner now and there are lots of preparations for the day’s celebration. The Christians believe that the Santa Claus comes on this day and gives them presents. This festival is celebrated by many of the people around the world. Billions of people celebrate the birth of the Jesus Christ across the globe and it is also considered as a public holiday on this day.

Preparations:

The preparations start from many months in advance. People start buying and watering the Christmas tree in order to decorate them for the day of Christmas. Christmas huts are also made for the festival. Many other special things, eatables are also made. The houses are decorated with Christmas lights and guests are invited for some special prayer either in the church or at home only.  The statue of the Christ and Mary are decorated and hymns and songs are made ready to play on the day of Christmas.

Celebrations:

The day is commemorated with some prayers in the chapel and the church. ChristmasGifts are exchanged with relatives, friends and dear ones. Special feasts are organized in order to mark the happiness and celebration of the birth of the Jesus Christ. Christmas tree is decorated on this day with jingling bells, dolls, lights and candies. The Christmas hut is prepared with flower wreaths, holly and mistletoe. This festival is considered as the happiest festival by the Christians. The colorful trees, and Christmas huts, the colorful Santa Claus with loads of gifts going around, the blessings from the Christ and Mary, the exchanging of  etc marks the celebration. On this day the Christ candle is lit in the church in front of the Christ’s statue.

Christmas carol and music are the most important for the celebrations. The songs and carols such as “jingle bells, jingle bells, and jingle all the way” and “the silent night, holy night” are all very famous. Christmas puddings are also made. Christmas cards are printed and the wishes are sent to the relatives and families and friends who are far off during the celebration. Love and affection is showered in all the possible ways. Be it by feasts, or by exchanging gifts or by sending cards.
