Chuni dares BJP to take action against him for breach of privilege

Jammu, November 19, (Scoop News)- Circulating copies of the letter, written by Union Home Ministry to the State Government for clubbing the issue of West Pakistan refugees with the proposed package for displaced persons from POJK, the Chairman of S. O. S. International Rajiv Chuni today dared Bhartiya Janta Party to initiate action against him for alleged breach of privilege.
“Let the BJP and its Government in Centre takes action against me for leaking out the correspondence with the State Government over its denial of accepting Rs 9096 crores rehabilitation package for POJK refugees,” challenged Mr. Chuni while addressing a press conference at Jammu on Wednesday.
He also asked BJP leader Avinash Rai Khanna to tender an unconditional apology to the displaced community for trying to mislead the people over the issue and said that the contents of Union Home Ministry’s letter have exposed Central Government as well as BJP on its double
standards towards POJK refugees.
Pertinent to mention that BJP Incharge for Jammu Kashmir Avinash Rai Khanna had yesterday claimed that the package for POJK refugees was under consideration of the Parliamentary panel and disclosure of contents of proceedings of the Standing Committee was breach of privilege which would invite action against any such person indulging in such practice.
Breaching the so called privilege, Mr. Chuni distributed the copies of the letter, written by the Union Home Ministry to the State Government, according to which J&K has been directed not to forward any package for POJK displaced community without clubbing the issue of West Pakistan refugees and their citizenship rights.
The SOS Chairman reiterated his ultimatum to the Central Government for reviewing its controversial decision of sending back package proposal and warned that if no action is taken by forthcoming Sunday, the displaced community would expose BJP for its double standards and anti refugee approach.
“On last Sunday, the Refugee Maha Rosh Rally had served an ultimatum of one week to Centre for considering the package and if the same is not accepted in next four days, the S. O. S. International will vigorously approach each and every displaced family apprising them of backstabbing by BJP, which used to claim itself as only well-wisher of refugees,” he said.
