A Cirrus SR22 and a Cessna 172, both single-engine planes, collided in mid-air yesterday afternoon near Rock Springs, Wyoming.
2 people were aboard the Cirrus SR22, which was headed to Rock Springs, while the destination of the Cessna 172 was unknown. The pilot was the only person on board. All three people were killed.
Officials reported they received calls describing an "explosion in the sky" at 12:26 on Sunday. The identities of the passengers on both the Cirrus SR22 and the Cessna 172 are currently unknown.
