Srinagar,May 04, -The State government offices reopened in summer capital Srinagar in Kashmir on Monday after office move (Darbar Move). The Move offices had closed on April 24 in the winter capital of Jammu.
A contingent of smartly-dressed J&K Armed Police presented Guard-of-Honour as Chief Minister Omar Abdullah arrived at the Civil Secretariat sharp at 9.30 a. m.
A rousing reception was given to Mr. Abdullah on his arrival in the Civil Secretariat in the summer capital, the first time after assuming charge of the Chief Minister of the State. He was received by his Cabinet colleagues and senior officers of the civil and police administration.
The J&K Civil Secretariat (Non-Gazetted) Employees Union, headed by its President, Nazir Ahmad Mir, garlanded the Chief Minister on reaching the Civil Secretariat.
Mr. Abdullah had a round of various offices in the Secretariat and interacted with the officers and staff. He also visited three newly-redone halls of the Agriculture, PHE and Home.
Later, the Chief Minister had an informal chat with the media persons who had come to cover the reopening of the Civil Secretariat here.
