Many injured in PPP meeting fighting
CHITRAL: Many workers were injured when a free for all, chair to chair, fist to fist, fight broke out in a PPP meeting convened by the district president. The participants of the meeting accused the district president Zainul Abedin and general secretary Hakim Khan of conspiring against the party on every crucial occasion. They particularly mentioned the last general elections when these two, misusing their official position, succeeded in misleading the party high command to impose an unfamiliar NA candidate upon the workers, who had unanimously nominated Fardad Ali Shah as their candidate. They said, due to wicked tactics, the duo caused the party to loose two assembly seats. The angry workers demanded immediate removal of the two from their ‘undeserved’ positions. A contingent of police was called in to control the situation. It may be mentioned that party workers have held a number of meetings in the last one month demanding immediate removal of the president and general secretary.
