While purusing the web in order to edit and correct a few recently published articles, on one of them I came across an advertisment alongside of it requesting donations for the Bush-Clinton Haiti Fund, soliciting donations for earthquake relief due to the massive earthquake last month in Haiti.
It is rather unusual that two former presidents would merge their combined public presence behind a relief effort, to say the least.
Especially two so recently in office, and whose combined taxpayer funded pension plans would go far in and of themselves in providing materials, food and water to those that suffered in this most recent "natural" or unnatural disaster, according to who is doing the reporting.
I mean, it is entirely possible that former nuclear testing done in that region and others throughout the world in exploding nuclear bombs within the Earth itself just might have some adverse effect on the plates which comprise the Earth’s core.
Or, perhaps if I may be so bold as to suggest, maybe some of those "nutjob" scientists and others that have been writing about global weather manipulations aren’t so wacky after all due to the serial disasters which are now occuring throughout the world, in addition to the market and economic manipulations which are and have been occuring progressively in the last decade more so than any other time in history?
Another was reported recently in Turkey, after the Chile disaster, and in my opinion, it is not global warming that is causing some of these serial disasters, but just might have to do with former Administrations in this country, and particularly in others that have been developing nuclear weapons or have developed them even more recently than the U.S.
It was signed "President George W. Bush and President Bill Clinton."
I mean, after the torch is passed to the new head of state, wouldn’t the politically correct title for both be, "Former President George W. Bush and Former President Bill Clinton."
Or rather, Citizen George W. Bush and Citizen Bill Clinton?
I mean, doesn’t the title go with the office, and not the person?
But given that these two individuals are still on the federal payroll at taxpayer expense, with rather large budgetary expenditures also with their taxpayer paid security details in addition, don’t you think the two of them could, with those sums, most likely rebuild a good portion of Haiti by themselves, if they were so inclined?
And unbelieveable the two of them in particular, whose prior actions (or inactions in some respects, especially domestically) actually have lead to the economic decline that continues in this country, in the opinion of the increasing non-political party affiliated Americans, would be asking Americans at this point with our plunging economy to kick in more of their dwindling money for Haiti relief efforts.
And just why aren’t they asking for blankets, water, timber or lumber, and food supplies, or other durable good donations, since I’m sure they have access to either their own jets, or those of most of their former high level corporate supporters now that those bogus campaign finance laws no longer apply to them especially.
Unless they are planning on seeking federal elective office once again.
And isn’t that what Haiti truly needs in the short term, not cash at all since I would imagine that their banks also are pretty much not functioning, and any such donations made that are held in trust by this organizations – if history serves – just might have strings attached to their provision that many Americans who made those donations just might not agree with?
Such as go to corporate fellows of these two gentlemen for no-bid contracts in Haiti and their own economies with the Haitian government and in effect, compromising this nations’s also future sovereignty in the process?
I mean, not a whole lot of good came out of these two individuals leadership which has progressively also contributed to where we are today, in the opinon of many of the more politically astute Americans, which has resulted in this downward spiraling economy that we are now facing today.
And now nine years in a war that has strayed far from its original statement purposes also in the process, also costing Americans a bundle daily in both lives and treasure.
