Eisenberg had entered into the campaign office in Rochester, New Hampshire. According to police, Eisenberg claimed to have a bomb strapped to his chest. The hostage situation began about one in the afternoon according to Major Michael Hambrook of the New Hampshire State Police.
According to CNN, Eisenberg said that he couldn’t get anyone to help him with his mental problems. Early on, one of the hostages, a woman with a baby was released by the hostage-taker.
Clinton was scheduled to talk at a DNC event around three. But it was cancelled because of the situation according to DNC Chairman Howard Dean. Facilities and other buildings close to the campaign offices of Hillary Clinton were evacuated. Those included the campaign offices of Barack Obama and John Edwards.
