Jammu and Kashmir: Those were the days when mind power was considered supreme in democratic set up of any developing country. But political power in present scenario of pseudo secularism and pseudo democracy has become
a tool to conquer illogically and immorally. As, politics has reduced to its lowest ebb where it amounts to more business and less services to mankind, irrespective of caste, colour and creed. Those were the days when ministers used to resign for the sins or wrong doings committed by their subordinates or happened due to natural climates.
But in the case of Chief Minister (CM) and Deputy Chief Minister (Dy CM) of Jammu and Kashmir State the things are different as both highly responsible personalities admitted failure publicly. CM, Omar Abdullah admitted that, rehabilitation of terrorists, policy proved a big flop, soon after the arrest of dreaded Hibzul Mujheeden terrorist allegedly, Jenab Syed Liaqat Shah. All surrenderees are
wanted criminals of Indian state under section 121 RPC (waging war against nation). Keeping the out come of rehabilitation policy for militants in mind one is forced to think about the fate of other policies devised by CM including revocation of AFSPA, local revenue generation and group insurance of Kashmiri Pandit migrants. Similarly, Dy CM has admitted that Government of India had released a lot of money but it has not been spent on the ground, the reason for
failure is cost variation, failure to identify lands for construction
of schools and land disputes. He realized that if the government could fail in just implementation of developmental works then how it could deliver to which it has been entrusted. Better health and education is the only task given to politicians of J&K, which they have failed to and that too at its beginning stage.
In a state where CM and dy CM admit that they failed in their task as students of 5th primary, how come other small ministers, legislatures and bureaucrats are supposed to be updated and accountable? It looks as good as a failed state is run and managed by dejected and demoralized lot. In such a bizarre situation even thinking of peace, propriety and development is about day dreaming. In more simple words,
government of India is wasting money and forcing state administration to waste time uselessly. Will the consciousness of CM and Dy CM awaken them to vacate power chairs for competent and worthy people or will
continue kill the time till mandate 2014, remains worth to watch.
