CM & House express grief over loss of lives in Ramban road accident

Srinagar, August 28, (Scoop News)- Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has expressed deep grief over the loss of precious human lives in a road accident which took place in Ramban area Thursday morning.

The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs. one lakh relief in favour of deceased and Rs. 10000 for injured.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister conveyed his solidarity and sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls. He also prayed for early recovery of the injured.

It may be mentioned hare that eight persons were killed and three others injured on Thursday morning,when a vehicle skidded off the road and rolled down into a drain in Ramban district of Jammu Province.
Police said a Sumo carrying 11 people to a sulphur spring in Khadi-Mohi Mangat belt in Ramban district skidded off the road near Nachalana-Sher bibi area.The injured have been admitted to a hospital.

Meanwhile The Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul on behalf of the House today expressed shock and grief over the demise of nine persons in a road accidents at Banihal this morning.
The information of death of these persons was given by the Minister of State for Technical Education Vikar Rasool today in the House. He also condoled the demise of these persons, expressing sympathies with the bereaved families.
Gul expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
The Speaker directed the administration for providing immediate ex-gratia to the deceased families and all possible treatment facilities to the injured ones.
The Speaker also directed the concerned departments to implement the recommendations of the House Committee strictly to avoid road accidents.
M. Y. Tarigami and G. M. Saroori also voiced concern over the rising road accidents and demanded strict implementation of the report of the House Committee in this regard.
