Hyderabad (GR-TYP-BIN): National Thermal Power Corporation, Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Arup Roy Choudhury along with Southern Regional Executive Director (South) Mr. R. Venkateshwaran met the Chief Minister of Telangana Mr. K Chandhrashekhar Rao at Camp office on May 25.
The NTPC officials agreed to put up entire 4000 MWs fully dedicated to Telangana as per Reorganization Act at Ramagundam in their existing land. The Chief Minister assured the required water allocation and informed the CMD that he would take up the issue of coal linkage with Prime Minister. The CMD of NTPC assured the Chief Minister of commissioning the project within four years.
Minister for Energy Mr. G Jagadish Reddy, CMD Telangana Genco Mr. D Prabhaker Rao and Secretary, Energy Mr. Aravind Kumar were present.
