Islamabad, 13 March 2008: The Co-Chairman, Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Asif Ali Zardari met on Tuesday at Zardari House the families of martyrs who gave their lives with Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on 27 December at Liaquat Bagh Rawalpindi.
The District Nazima and sister of Co-Chairman Ms. Faryal Talpur, Zamarud Khan, Amer Fida Paracha, Farzana Raja, Dr. Israr Shah, Qazi Sultan Mehmood and Shafqat Abbasi were also present at the occasion.
Talking to the families of martyrs Senator Asif Ali Zardari said that we have to change our sorrow into our strength and brave is not the one who kills rather the one who can bear great grief and distress. He said that the PPP workers have created a new trend by bearing great losses. He said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto has a far longer life than her killer and today every Pakistani has one slogan, “zinda hay bibi, zinda hay (Benazir is immortal)”.
Co-Chairman said “Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and your loved ones have sacrificed their lives for a great mission and we will carry that mission forward”.
Senator Asif Ali Zardari informed the relatives of the martyrs that he
and the Party have decided to work for the families of those martyrs and the injured and a concerted policy will be chalked out for their welfare so that they could be looked after for the rest of their lives.
The participants offered fateha for Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and all the martyrs.
