She was then a fifty nine years old mother of eight and working as a seamstress in her home. The old lady has been a seamstress for almost four decades which served as part of the bread and butter for the family. But that was it. Her healthy body had started to weaken and showed sign of pain. It was in the year 2000 when she started to suffer from irregular severe headache that she took it lightly by just taking over-the-counter medicines. Her family was unaware of the condition of the old woman; all they knew then was that it was just a common headache. The old woman’s predicament slowly affected her system, and the unexpected turn of events suddenly happened. In June 13, 2003, a Friday, the old woman succumbed to illness which caused her to lose consciousness. She was rushed to the hospital and was declared comatose by the attending physician. The old woman was diagnosed of brain tumor on the frontal lobe. After five days of confinement in the government hospital, the Doctor informed the two sons about the deteriorating condition of their mother. They were told the patient had a slim chance of survival and asked them to just transfer their mother to a private hospital. Soon enough, the old woman was transferred and admitted to a private hospital. Right there and then, the patient was attended with haste and was carefully checked and reevaluated the diagnostic report. The family then was in constant communication with God. Prayers were in the minds of everybody. There’s no let-up in asking God’s divine intervention. And in June 20, the private Doctor took notice of the patient’s worsening condition. He requested for the patient to be transferred to an affiliate hospital for the risky and complicated operation. And on June 25, 2003, the patient was operated for brain tumor that started from 1:30pm in the afternoon and lasted at 10pm that night. In that day, it seemed that the family is losing hope because of loose talks going around. The hospital head nurse and other family friends were talking about hopelessness because according to them, brain tumor patients have a low survival rate. But it did not stop the family from believing in God’s power. All the prayers were conveyed with seriousness and with full recognition of God’s healing power. The Doctor was right all along because, before the operation he reminded the family to pray and asked for divine guidance. And on July 4, 2003, Friday afternoon, after weeks of unconsciousness the comatose patient had finally awaken from her deep sleep and slowly opened her eyes as her family cried in happiness, the happiness that was made possible by God.
