Commander of Iranian Ground Force warns of crushing response to any aggression displayed towards his country

Today Fars news is reporting that the Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Force Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan has warned of the Army’s “crushing and serious response to those enemies who dare to make an aggression against the country.”

“Today the Ground Force enjoys a high and acceptable level of power and if the enemies come to materialize their threats against the country and its borders, they will face the Islamic Republic of Iran Army’s serious response on the scene of action”, he warned.

Although he did not mention the name of the United States – there was no doubt in anyone’s mind who exactly he was addressing the threat to!

The Army Commander  told reporters on the sidelines of the Ground Force’s second stage of massive exercises codenamed: “Beit ul-Moqaddas” 26 in the Central province of Isfahan on Saturday.

Adding the drills underway now have shown that the Iranian Ground Force’s capabilities have increased rather dramatically.

Brigadier General Pourdastan said that the Army Ground Force “used different types of state-of-the-art weapons and equipment in Beit ul-Moqaddas 26 drills, including Shaher sniper rifles, anti-armored weapons and armored ground tactics.”

The Brigadier General also told reporters earlier today that the Ground Force’s UAVs will have a major role in the drills, and added, “We will use all our drones which have reconnaissance, online imaging and suicide (attack) capabilities as well as the air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles mounted on them”, he said.
