Jammu, March 14 (Scoop News) – Minister for School Education, Peerzada Mohammad Syed today informed the House that the government has constituted a Committee to check the functioning of Elementary Teachers Training (ETT) Institutions across the State.
The Minister was replying to a question by Abdul Gani Vakil in the Legislative Council.
He said after receiving inspection report from the Committee, the Government would cancel the registration of those ETT Institutions, which are not working as per the guidelines. He said, the Department has also issued an academic calendar for these Institutions. He said total number of non-government ETT Intuitions functioning in the State are 439.
Upgraded High & Higher Secondary Schools regularized: Peerzada
Minister for School Education, Peerzada Mohammad Syed today informed the House that 611 High Schools and 373 Higher Secondary Schools already upgraded have formally been regularised by the State Planning and Development department in 4 phases from 2007 upto 2010.
The Minister was replying to a question by Murtza Ahmed Khan in the Legislative Council.
He said under RMSA 69 middle schools have been approved by PAB,Union Ministry of Human Resources Development for up gradation to High schools for which funds have been received and released for development of infrastructure. Similarly 182 more Middle Schools were also approved by Ministry of HRD for up gradation for which the funds have not being yet released.
64 new Primary Schools set up in Wachi: Peerzada
Minister for School Education, Peerzada Mohammad Syed today informed the House that 64 new Primary School have been opened in Wachi constituency out of the target of 72 newly opened primary schools. Similarly 52 Primary School have been upgraded to the level of upper Primary School out of the target of 61 primary schools, he added.
The Minister was replying to a question by Showkat Hussain Ganai in the Legislative Council today.
