Jammu, July 5 (Scoop News)-BJP Minority Morcha (Muslim Morcha) National President Abdul Rasheed Ansari, while addressing the inaugural session of 2-day State Working Committee Meeting of the morcha at Banihal in Ramban district, said that the plight of a common Muslim in J&K is miserable as he too is subjected to discrimination.
Abdul Rasheed Ansari, who alongwith State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul, Morcha National Vice-President Ishtiaq Wani, BJP State Secretary Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana, Morcha State President Mushtaq Noorabadi, Ramban District President Vijay Mohan Thakur, BJP State Working Committee Member Mohd. Ilyas Khan, Training Cell Incharge Rajeev Charak and Morcha State General Secretary Saleem Bhat inaugurated the meet, said that it is indeed unfortunate that the State of Jammu & Kashmir has always been run by the Chief Ministers belonging to Muslim community but unfortunately the same community has been made to suffer on account of government’s policies of discrimination and nepotism. He said that being a Muslim Majority State and with liberal grant from the Centre, it was expected that the common Muslim of Jammu and Kashmir would have emerged as role model and inspiration for his community brothern in other state of India, but the picture that has emerged after 65years of India is just the reverse.
Ashok Koul, in his address, said that the members of Muslim community associated with the BJP are devoting their time in reaching their brothern in each and every nook and corner of the state to educate them about the policies of BJP and a large number of Muslims are coming into party-fold voluntarily after themselves realizing the people friendly programmes and ideology of this party. They will play very decisive role in the 2014 elections, he added.
Ishtiaq Wani said that the so-called benefits meant for a common Muslim, particularly Gujjar and Bakerwal are being availed by only those handful of families who are directly associated with the political leaders while the genuinely deserving people are ignored and deprived of the same.
Mushtaq Noorabadi said that right from 1947 the political power in the state has remain in the hand of a few families who have exploited the innocent muslims on the name of their welfare and development but did nothing in practical for their upliftment.
Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana said that as a glaring example of religious exploitations, Muslim of J&K who had opted to stay back in Indian secular state have been inhumanly reduce to mere vote bank by successive government run by Congress and NC. Inspite of tall pledge made by the government of upliftment of the community, the fact is large section of Muslims of all the three regions continue to live Below Poverty Line (BPL). The youth of the community have been deprived of fair opportunity of employment, inspite of government much publicized schemes like Sher-e-Kashmir employment policy. The unemployment among educated youth of the community now has taken ugly turn with educated unemployment youth turning to militancy.
Mohd. Ilyas Khan alleged that creamy layer of the community based in the summer capital city has deliberately created a structure where by the fellow members of the community living in peripheral remote and hilly areas continue to languish in poverty, without education and livelihood.
The meeting, which was spread over a number of sessions on First day is being organized by the Minority Morcha with the cooperation of Ramban district Unit of BJP under Vijay Mohan Thakur.
