Hello,
Information and communication technologies (ICTs) has been a burning issue in the realm of socie-economic development of a country. But it is a matter of great regret that many developing countries like Bangladesh are still far behind of the modern technologies that has a wide range of activities. Many Bangladeshis do not know the impacts of ICT in the development of society and state.Though many of the organizations started program on ICT4D but in reality hardly of we can reach to rural people who are in need of innovative information and services to change their deep rooted belief and come out from the darkness because most of the target groups are IT illiterate and lack of knowledge of ICT resources. So, considering these situation Relief International, a non-profit and non political organization initiated a program aiming at educating the people about the role of ICT for a sustainable lives and livelihoods at the same time make them accessible to these resources through conducting Media Telecenter Workshop, a part of Media Access and Education for Human Rights Program. Media Telecenter Workshop targets at school students, Media Professionals and Human Rights issues which will make a conduit to represent the disadvantaged communities who can not communicate with the civil society and are unable to avail the democratic process due to lack of protocols and procedures applicable for well communication. We believe that this kind of telecenter based workshops will create a good impacts on the whole community. The workshop includes themmatic as well as hands on approach following some copy of education materials for their furture practice. For more details please visit at www.media-humanrights.org
