Srinagar, September 25 (Scoop News) – While reviewing the exercise being conducted by Srinagar Development Authority (SDA) for presenting new concept about existing master plan 2000-2021, the Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand has said that all stake holders, civil society and concerned public representatives would be involved to ensure inclusion of all concepts in order to make both Srinagar and Jammu greater cities.
Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development, Suresh Kumar, Vice Chairman, Srinagar Development Authority Khawaja Farooq Renzushah, DG, Fire and Emergency Service, G.M. Bhat, VC, LAWADA, Ifran Yasin, Commissioner, SMC, Dr. G.N. Qasba, M.D, J&K Housing Board, Kiran Wattal besides HODs and senior officers of R&B, PHE, ERA were present on the occasion.
Tara Chand asked the officer to coordinate with each other and share their experiences and expertise so that a foresighted document is prepared. He asked the concerned consultancy to speed up the process and ensure that MP document is prepared early.
Deputy Chief Minister said that with growing urbanization, it has become necessary to revisit the 2000-2001 MP. He asked the officers to keep in account the needs of the people beyond 2021 and come-up with their recommendation in this regard.
