Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party (NPP) and
Member, National Integration Council in New Delhi urged Mrs. Sonia Gandhi,
President, Indian National Congress to wind up J&K Pradesh Congress
Committee to get rid of hawks and doves, rats and pigeons, corrupt and
opportunist elements from the party which grew and developed in the lap of
National Conference. He said that the senior leadership of the Pradesh Congress
has grown on the foundation of fundamentalism carried by National Conference since
1931 based on the agenda, ‘Quit Kashmir’ and ‘Loot India ’ right from the day
one the State acceded to the Union of India in 1947.
He advised Mrs. Sonia Gandhi to hasten cleansing process and
that is possible only to wind up the entire Pradesh Committee select the new
generation which had not undergone fundamentalist training inside National
Conference and rear them up in special training camps where they are trained
according to a chapter on nationalism and secularism. He said that Pradesh
Congress is taken over by opportunist elements who had no understanding of the
geographical, anthropological, political and regional map of J&K.
Panthers Chief said that a Congress minister from Jammu was
used as ‘guinea pig’ by the Pradesh Congress leadership demanding ‘Azadi’ for
Kashmir to express solidarity with the secessionists and anti-India elements
carry on the so-called ‘Quit Kashmir’ movement with the support and patronage
of ruling National Conference. He said the Pradesh Congress President who was
chairing that public meeting in Bani (Kathua District) addressed the meeting
after the Congress Minister demanded ‘Azadi for Kashmir ’. He deliberately
chose not to denounce the anti-national slogan of his party’s minister. Not a
single Congress leader in J&K has chosen to denounce the ‘Azadi’ demand of
their party minister. This shows that entire Pradesh Congress leadership in
J&K is a part of the old conspiracy against Union of India by implementing
the draconian ‘ Dixon Plan’ which was initiated by Justice Owen Dixon in 1950
in his capacity as United Nations Special Observer to J&K. This was done to
bail out Pakistan from the guilt of defying UNCIP Resolution dated 13th August,
1948 which had directed Pakistan to withdraw its armies and civilians from all
areas of J&K occupied by Pakistan in 1947. The Dixon Plan had suggested a
Muslim majority State by dissecting Hindu majority District of Jammu from the
State. Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru rejected this plan in 1951. Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah
who advocated for the implementation of this plan in 1953 was dismissed and
thrown in jails on the direction of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who happened to be a
close family friend of Sheikh Abdullah.
The Panthers Party Chief also demanded and explanation from
the Congress leadership at the Centre on the issue whether the party stand for
‘Azadi’ for Kashmir? The Panthers Party Chief advised Mrs. Sonia Gandhi to
withdraw the support of the Congress to the Chief Minister who is the real
mischief behind the game. The Chief Minister himself declared on the floor of
the State Assembly that J&K is not integral part of India. Now his minister
declared ‘Azadi’ for Kashmir which has been the basic agenda of National
Conference.
The Panthers Party declared total opposition to the proposed
Panchayat election in J&K in January, 2011 on non party basis as this trend
is dangerous to the grassroots of democracy and shall defeat the very purpose
of accelerating political process in the bleeding State of J&K. He demanded
election on the basis of the 73rd and 74th Amendment in the Central Panchayat
Act. He said that nomination of the District Panchayat heads shall be a
disaster and may add the already existing alienation of the people from the democratic
process. He accused National Conference leadership to demolish the democratic
process of devolution of power to the grass root level which can only be
achieved through a political process on the grass root level. He demanded
Panchayat election on party basis which will in the interest of national
integration and democratic institutions.
