Basohli/Jammu, December 4 (Scoop News) – J&K Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Prof. Saifuddin Soz (MP) has said that Congress is committed for equitable development of all the three regions of the state Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh in every sphere of life.
Addressing a Congress rally at Basohli today Prof. Soz said that Congress has always advocated balanced and equitable development of all three regions as it strengthen the bond of unity and integrity of the state.
Cautioning the people about the communal and divisive forces in the state PCC Chief said that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh have to stay together and people should understand the designs of such forces and strengthen secularism, unity and integrity of the state.
A large number of people joined Congress party on the occasions who were welcomed in the party fold by the PCC Chief and other senior leaders of the party.

Exhorting the partymen to strengthen Congress, Prof. Soz said that the only way for this is to serve the people as has been said by Smt. Sonia Gandhi who has described politics as another name of service to people. He said that all partymen including ministers have to work hard in addressing the problems of the people and come up to their expectations to further strengthen the party.
Referring to the holding of elections to the Panchayats, Prof. Soz said that Congress favours holding of election on non party basis in order to ensure that honest and capable people irrespective of party affiliation get chance to get elected to the basic institution of democracy. Final view will be taken with the consultation of party leaders.
He said that congress favoured that Panchayat Raj Institution should be fully empowered to ensure better and effective working of Panchayat Raj Institutions in the state.
He said that Congress would ensure all-round development for Basohli, especially in the field of tourism, fisheries, horticulture, floriculture etc. and said that demands of local people will be taken due care by the party leaders, especially the minister.
Ministers R.S.Chib, Sham Lal Sharma, Raman Bhalla in their addresses said that Congress is committed for the development of all the three regions and Jammu region like other two regions is getting due attention in the field of development and other spheres of life. It is the endure of coalition government that all regions and all parts of the state get due attention in every sphere of development activities and every effort would be made to meet the demands of far-flung areas like Basohli and Bani.
Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma in his address said that Congress has always strengthen the bonds of unity and secularism in the country and Congress policies have brought the nation to the present era of prosperity. Asking the partymen to strengthen the Congress, he said that Kathua district has always remained strong bastion of Congress party and exhorted the people to unitedly strengthen Congress in the district.
