Ridiculing Congress leadership for its hallow sloganeering of
equitable treatment of political and economical power distribution, Bhartiya Janata
Party (BJP) Legislators Party, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta said that it is amazing
that ignoring all reports of various Commission and facts surfacing quite
often, leaders of Congress and their allies still continue parroting extending of
equal treatment to all three regions of state. “Communal mindset and despotic
approach of theirs had enslaved politically public of Jammu. Proof to it was denial
of due share to these regions in State Assembly and Lok Sabha” veteran leader
said and added that putting an embargo over delimitation of Assembly
Constituencies till 2026 depicts height of injustice by coalition leaders,
especially Congress, which failed to keep its promise of rectifying errors in
their Manifesto in 2008 Asysembly elections. “Communally infected separatism and
semi-separatism in Kashmir are root cause of all problems including
discrimination against Jammu and Ladakh besides despotic functioning of ruling
Congress-National Conference leaders during all these years” he added.
Exposing chief minister for his gimmickry statement regarding
Panchayats role in checking corruption and malpractices, Prof. Gupta questioned
that Panchayats cannot be empowered without extension of 73rd and 74th
Amendments of Indian Constitution. He said that infected by communal virus, ruling
leaders are trying to distancing state from rest of India by taking advantage
of Article-370. Burning effigy of Chief Minister, as a part of second phase of
their agitation, against controversial utterances of by him on issue of
Accession and protest against adoption of policy for return and rehabilitation
of ultras from Pakistan and Pak occupied Kashmir besides continuous discrimination
against Jammu and Ladakh regions, Prof Gupta said that certain dubious moves of
Congress-NC are fraught with highly dangerous potentialities for security of
state as well as the unity of the country. Nationalists would not tolerate all
the hypocrisy, he said adding that protests will continue till Dec 7.
