Leh/Srinagar August, 06 (Scoop News) – BSNL exchange at Nimu Leh got damaged and as a result of which the entire BSNL communication with Leh got severed. However only Airtel numbers were functional. In order to restore communication with Le, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir approached Airtel authorities and requested them to arrange airtel SIM phones on an emergency basis so as to restore communications.
Airtel authortities keeping in view the magnitude of the disaster arranged seven SIM cards and preactivated them and handed them over to Deputy Commissioner Leh and thereby communication with Leh was restored. The contact numbers are:
