Cookies from the Digital Journal
So far, I have published 5 articles on the Digital Journal for a total payment of $1.57, yet to be deposited into my account. It is tough to earn a living, so who knows what an article may bring you in payment, if views are counted. It has a robust series of advertisements on the site as well, including sponsors for such things as on-line trading and on-line schools. This alone is not a concern. But there is one very annoying other thing that occurs on the Digital Journal: a freeze of my firewall because of a unique "cookie". I e-mailed Mr. Silverberg about the possibility of his site placing unique "cookies" in my browser. He has not responded to my e-mail.
It takes a community to keep the internet free of predators, viruses, and tracking cookies. Strange things are happening at the Digital Journal.
