Cooperation Sought For Effective Implementation Of Helmet Rule

Proddatur (GR-TYP-BIN): Deputy Superintendent of Police Mrs. Pujitha Neelam urged the two-wheeler riders to cooperate with the police in implementing helmet rule. She also said that fastening seat belts while driving cars on the roads is also compulsory as this rule would be effective simultaneously from November 1.

The DSP said that Rs. 100 – 200 will be imposed as a penalty for a period from a week to 10 days at the initial stage, and later the penalty increases to Rs. 500. As per the government rules, we must ensure the effective enforcement of the rule and safe journey of the motorcyclists and four-wheeler riders, she added.

The DSP stressed that in all the limits of police stations in the Subdivison, the police ensure that the helmet rule would be strictly implemented.
