A three-year-old child was booked by the police under the Uttar Pradesh Goonda Act. Two cops involved in the incident were suspended on Monday, four days after the incident took place.
The policemen, including the station house officer of Haliapur, were found prima facie guilty of registering the FIR against Mukesh, the son of Chandrika Prasad, on April 25 the superintendent of Sult-anpur police, Mr D.C. Mishra told on Monday. The incident was the result of the zeal of the district police in the drive against criminals that did not spare even a three-year-old child and filed an FIR against him. The Goonda Act was passed to book criminals in a bid to reduce criminal activities.
